Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year.

I used to hate this time of year…saw it as just a waste of time, counterproductive, momentum killer. But then I got married in 11/06, got my first EBMM in 03/07, had my first daughter in 10/07, and a second on the way…probably in 03/09. Needless to say, a few things have changed. And for the first time in a long time this has been a season to reflect on good things, enjoy family, and based on that look forward to the New Year with happiness and hope. It has been a tight year financially and my parents got divorced after 30-some years, but the blessings have outweighed the troubles by far and I am grateful.

Having said that…a big THANKS to everyone here. This place is my insane grasp on sanity during the day. I work the IT helpdesk at a local hospital and I love the job, but it’s chock-full of people with something to complain about…and somehow it’s my fault. So thanks for being the knuckleheads that you all are. As strange as it seems to call a bunch of bass enthusiasts that I’ve yet to meet in person “family”, that’s what I consider you to be, so again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Good vibes to you all.

To BP and all the staff at EBMM…a special Merry Christmas to you. “Thanks” just isn’t enough. I have two of what I consider the finest basses on the planet and yeah, I paid for them, but I’m still grateful for the obvious care and effort that went into building them. It’s a business, but the way that you guys do business is so refreshing. Your passion inspires our passion for these instruments in a way that, literally, no other manufacturer is doing these days. I’m sure it would be so much easier for you to simply deal with dealers and avoid a forum like this where there is so much potential for complaints based on either the spreading of misinformation or the simple human nature of wanting what we can’t have just because we can’t have it. Your participation here is much appreciated. I don’t usually get too excited about Christmas gifts anymore, but in the two years that I’ve been here the anticipation of watching your NAMM offerings unfold has been just like the anticipation of Christmas that I felt as a kid.

Anyway, that’s probably enough for now.

Peace.

Oh man... I can imagine working an IT help desk.
Good knowing your Xmas and past year has been good.

Mine has unfortunately been a little opposite.... but its all perspective in the end I guess. Good to have food, a roof, and a bed. Negativity is such a season killer!
...as are divorces. I know how that is. *shudder*

I understand the family bit perfectly, and I'll extend my thanks to this community too. :) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and all the rest of the Knucks. Hope I get to meet some of you guys sometime. 'specially Jack.

I share your sentiments on BP and Ernie Ball in general. They really do deserve more than a thanks.. I hope I get to shake Sterling's hand one day.

Here's to a great holiday season and, if I'm not online to post on the inevitable thread, '09!

Merry Christmas one and all. A special thanks to BP and the crew at Ernie Ball Music Man who make all of our lives a little better by doing what they do, and making this forum possible.

I can only confirm to the above, and add to the very special thanks and greetings to BP and the whole EBMM crew for building the works of art that connect us all!

After a hard and though day of working it's always nice to come home and look into all the shinyness of my 'Ray, somehow making it all wortwhile.

From the other side of the pond, not yet so hard hitted by the Economical situation we will surely be in next year, I wish you all a merry, merry Christmas, and a happy 2009, with nothing less then a lot of prosperity, both financial as well as emotional! Everybody hang in there!

Merry Christmas to one and all.

It has been a very very tough year on me. But, I have a great group of friends who have supported me and have told on me too...lol. ;)

One of those friends is Pops and I won't get into details, but, he gave me some great advice not too long ago with some additional tough love and I love him for it. It was greatly appreciated. You sir are a true friend who tells it like it is and may the world be more like you!

Sooooo, with Pops advice things have changed for me for the better these last few weeks. I have a new job I am starting in January that keeps me home and keeps me busy and is 100% safe. So, yeah, that is a good thing.

I was fortunate to play a Toys for Tots show last weekend and the turn out was great. My band sold a bunch of CD's and we donated the money to the Toys for Tots. No matter how bad off you can be it was really a "feel good" moment for me knowing that some kids will have a Christmas.

I have a healthy daughter who loves me and a wonderful girlfriend who loves and supports me. What more could I ask for?

Merry Christmas and be safe.

Happy Times

Season's Greetings and best of Luck to all in 2009

I too have had to deal with a pretty solid blow on an emotional front for the last little while. It makes it even more worse during this time of year.Having said that I have been very fortunate to have met a special one and have managed to get things back in perspective. For me its about trying to make others feel good, wanted and cared for, that takes care of everything else.
Cheers to All

Merry Christmas to all my friends here! And a very special Thank You to Big Poppa and his crew.

May 2009 be better for those who had a bad year, and keep on going strong for those who had a good year.
