OK - so today was tough. I fired an employee that had been with me for 14 years. I have felt like crap for two days thinking about it and have started to feel a little better since its over and I have a couple of beers in me. So I take my son to dinner tonight and we talk about me firing this employee (the first I have ever fired). He asks a few questions about it,,,,,, and then I realize that all I am thinking about is getting home to play one of my

BONGOS

Do I feel bad about this?

Hell no!!

Just thought I would share.....

Oh and tomorrow night I get to put my Rosewood Axis in the hands of my guitarists.

So I guess bottom line is that EBMM gear makes everything better!!!!

Limdidit Im sure that eggie would love to tell but the sad reality is that with these employer employee privacy issues things said here can bite him in the ass....(not the rosewood one)

Never tough doing that....

thanks BP - well said. Luckily Colorado is an at will state but an employer really can't say too much about these issues. Most important part of my original post is that it was the thought of my Bongo that brought me out of my funk.

I can totally understand what you are saying. I had a nightmare of a day yesterday, the kind that makes you wanna scream with frustration. In the end, I just put it down to 'one of those days' and plugged in my JP, sweet.

After playing for about half hour, I reached round for the lovely cup of sweet smelling coffee that the wife had just lovingly made me, and knocked the entire cup all over my desk!

Playing the JP had mellowed me enough to the point of having to just grin and shake my head at the amusement of it all, and of course spend the next 15 minutes cleaning my desk and throwing away paperwork that should have hit the bin months ago! It sure is great to hear that I'm not the only one to find comfort in playing the blues.

Today I am shopping for a new optical mouse...:)

Don't feel bad Bill. I had to fire someone today and right before my busiest time of the year:mad: But if they have to go they have to go! One day I will get a Bongo of my own

The first and only time I had to fire someone, I almost threw up in front of them I was so nervous and anxious ridden. I think I over emotionalized the whole thing...the guy was a "functional" alcoholic who would drink all day long (small flask in his pocket and told us he had a medical problem when asked about the weird alcohol-like smell) and by end of day was extremely belligerent and uncooperative - took me a week to figure it out. Ended up almost having to call the police to escort him off the premises.
