How many springs luke uses on his guitars???
some how when he bend those strings its sounds like the bridge is all the way flat on the body
becouse as you all know it is much harder to get the bending in a realy heavy way when you got a loose bridge...and its more easyer to get the bend when the bridge is all the way down flat ..

thanks

As I understand it, the Lukes are set up at the factory the way Luke uses them. Same goes for the other artists. With this in mind, I think the standard set up would be 2 springs, floating.

what you hear luke doing is exagerrating the "flutter" by banging the bridge with the side of the hand. You can hear flutter in alot of luke's playing---especially when plucking notes with the finger. All floating trems flutter--especially with only 2 springs---some people and manufacturers add the 3rd spring to reduce flutter---but I like the sound. If its good enough for Luke and Jeff Beck its good enough for me!!!!!!

Norm commented after seeing Jeff Beck that it was like the tremolo was INVENTED for Jeff.

I thought that was genius.

Luke's one of my favorite trem-meisters
