Vincent, I'd pair the SansAmp RBI with a MarkBass F1 and add a 4x10 MarkBass cab (I have two 104 HR).

Or two 2x10 cabs if you want to need the portability and flexibility (at almost twice the price). You should also check out the new NYC 604 cab (4 x 6") which is very light, small and sounds great.

Hey!

Well, I think the possible cabs would be good for you:

MB 2x10 (x2) or
MB 2x10 + 1x15

Bergantino AE410 or
Berg AE210 x 2

Aguilar DB112 x 2 or
Aguilar DB212

Tecamp M212 - very very very light, and probably my favourite neo cab at the moment.

If you dont mind about 85lbs, and just want a smaller 4x10, the Berg HS410 wipes the floor with most cabs out there. Its is a very small 4x10, like the AE410, but due to the ceramics, it is SO good for rock and that old school tone. Many people say its the best 4x10 ever produced. Get some casters on it, (think Berg might even fit some as standard now) and away you go. Works well with the micro amps, and the big tube amps.

I think you might miss the Sansamp, so make sure you keep it as it works really well for emulating that dirty tone when you need it. Not disrespect to Genz, but the tube sound on the Shuttles just doesnt work for me...and it would not replace that nice colour the Sansamp gives you. I find pre-tubes to do very little....despite all the tips and trick I tried.

Best bet for amp would be, I think, a MB Little Mark 2/3....as they are very very popular, loud, warm, (in a nice almost tube ish way, but NO dirt whatsoever) light and excellently made. If you want a slightly faster response the F1 is also great, and even smaller/lighter.

Bear in mind, after I wanted the lightest most powerful head out there, I actually owned it and sent it back...I wont say what it was. It felt 'too' light, and basically I thought it would just pull off the cab if my cable got caught. It also felt like something was missing...I think anywhere around the 7-8 lbs is light enough.

Another great option for an all-in-one very nice and loud and tech piece of kit, check out the TC Electronics RH450. Expensive, but a nice tube tone in there despite no tubes!

Here's a vote for Phil Jones Bass amplifiers. I play my red sparkle Stingray (and several "other" basses) through a PJB M-500 head, pumping through 16B and 8T cabs, for a total of 700 watts going to 24 little 5" speakers. The 16B cab makes me curse and swear that I'll sell it every time I have to move it, but as soon as I plug in & hear that sound, all is forgiven. Sometimes, the price of that magic & elusive "Golden Tone" comes with a little grunting & wheezing. Yes, I could trade it for one of PJB's own "Neo" series of cabs, but they just don't sound the same...

+1 some neo cabs just DO NOT sound right...some almost get away with it....but you do miss that massive ceramic thump IMO.
