Stoopid Newbie Question

I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere in this forum, but that strap is great. Are these available for purchase? That would make a better match for my DD than my Hofner strap.

Damn, you're making me want to go for another Bongo, too.

Looks great - congrats.

I just put flats on my DD Bongo HS and I will keep them on. Great sound.

Enjoy!!

The DD green on the Bongos looks so cool. I love how it looks on the headstock. I keep staring at mine!!

Oh and as a side note...

THose fretboard wonderwipes are amazing. Darkens up the rosewood - puts a slight shine to the board. Looks great with the DD green.

I live in a dry climate and my fretboards loved the treatment. I used 2 wipes on 7 basses. Still had some "juice" in them.

Also - as posted somehere else - some people think the flats are sticky. Rub them down with the string cleaner wonderwipes. Seems to help!!

Now back to your bass praises.............

I don't know if you're familiar with the SVT CL but it has separate gain and volume knobs. My volume is actually only in the 9 to 10 o clock position (and that's still loud). I keep the gain dimed to get that tubey grit. But with the Bongo I might have to back it off a bit to avoid getting dirty when I don't want to.

I went back and forth with the piezo option but in the end, I thought the sweepable mids alone would make it worth the upgrade and increase in flexibility in case I did not like the single H.

Sweet and there's nothing like an Ampeg on 10 to go along with it. Do the straps come with it or is that something you had done? Very nice touch.

I ordered the strap from Double Treble.

But look! It's Saturday! I can play LOUD and ALL day!

That looks sweet. I think I'll have to get a BD (Blue Dawn) strap made for my Bongo that's due in like 2 months.
