Exactly this.

I'm pretty much the same ratio of ambidextrous, but I lean towards my left. My first teacher was good enough to say exactly what your dad said.

To me, the benefit of playing guitar is that you can go over to your mates house and just sit around jamming....you can pick up any guitar anywhere and just play. If you play lefty, there's no chance you can do that.

A major advantage of playing lefty....no-one can borrow my guitar.

Why does EVERY lefty thread get clogged up with people telling me I should have done it differently 40 years ago. .....I didn't ......THE END!
(Nor did Jimi Hendrix , Albert King, Otis Rush, Kurt Cobain, Paul McCartney, Elliot Easton, Toni Iommi & Dick Dale )

Agreed, and you should at least get to park in the Handicapped parking spaces :p My 6 year old is left handed and shows an unhealthy amount of interest in the guitar, so I think I'll be paying dearly for this comment  ;)

Sterling is hard to read Andy so that hmmmmmm could go either way. I think you should ask for a Reflex and the AL, as you will more than likely only get one shot. Take aim and make it a good one.lol

I would think that an AL is not that likely as the potential sales would be about 5% of a niche market.

I am hoping that the Reflex becomes a huge seller so that someday the numbers might make sense.......hopefully before arthritis sets in!

Plan B (which I am still working on) is to become so famous that the world's guitar makers fight to give me all the free lefty guitars I want!!!!!

In the meantime, I'll just have to struggle by with these 2....life is hard!

If playing the guitar backwards is the only handicap I ever have to deal with in life then I will indeed have been extremely fortunate.

Andy I can relate to the inner frustration of people telling you that you should of done it different 40 years ago. After I was six months into not being able to play do to severe Cubital Tunnel Syndrome and nerve damage in my thumb, I was ready to punch the next person who told me to switch to keyboards.lol Why in the world would I want to learn to play keyboards, when my heart has only been into the guitar for 30 years. Only someone who never played could never understand.

Oh yes Andy you have a bit of weirdness (dont we all,) as that flamed top is beautiful.lol
