Hi!

edited to add: I/we also need the money for something else, and I quite agree that it's pointless to keep the money invested in so many basses, given that they need storage space, too.

Is it appropriate to ask for a price check on one of these here?
I have one in mint condition, and the wife has told me something's gotta go -
well, actually, a lot of stuff has to go. So... I'm trying to pick what to keep, what to sell, and this is a nice 'Ray, but I might have to sell it if there's a decent market for them. And keep something I got cheap for what it is, a Read custom NAMM showpiece =)

So, I guess I'd like for a more enlightened opinion than mine on whether it's sellable and what kind of price I might expect to get for it...

ty,

p.s. an example of a bass you just can't sell at any price: Spector NS-5XL - I've been trying to sell it forever, and don't even get the lowballing offers!

dem picks

Ask and ye shall receive! Tho it still remains a factory produced bass, I must admit it does have nice photogenicity. Now if I could just get arsed enough to buy a camera stand!

Not sure cash wise, but it is worth a mint Bongo 5 HS in trade.:D Maybe your wife can pick on some of your other gear.:)
Yes, I'm serious. Please pm if interested.

Thanks for the kind offer, but even *I* am disgusted at the amount of gear I have! Sold 2 DBX 166XL's and a pair of Genelecs with their subwoofer sidekick this week,
two excellent six-string basses last week, and so forth.

I may, in the end, pick up a beat up, neglected and gothic lolita-ed 70's Ibanez from our trip to Japan and end up playing a passive four-string! Ha!

I guess I'll just see if I can sell it for EUR1300 in Finland. Should be doable, as EBMM prices in Europe and Finland in particular are shot to hell and this is a new instrument.
