Hi everybody,

I recently bought an EBMM Majesty guitar, the guitar is overall in great shape, but I noticed this hole in the back underneath the plate (see image attached).
I have two other Majesty guitars that don't have this on their back.

My question is, is it just something cosmetic that I can ignore and keep enjoying my new purchase, or does it look like something I should be concerned about?

I came to this forum cause I know there's a lot of EBMM experts here who can help. thanks in advance!

What are your initial thoughts? Easy to say what I think but it’s not my guitar 😀. The good news is it’s not visible so only you will know about it. Is there any way you can put something in there to see how far down it goes? I can’t imagine it would affect the sound at all. So much more to the sound than that one spot of course. You can always contact EBMM customer service and get their opinion.Probably not a bad idea.

thanks edhalen for the reply, contacting EBMM CS is definitely a good idea!

Thanks Pete for your reply!...I'm relieved to read that!
But I have two other Majesties without this hole, both are 2019 models :)

So I contacted costumer services as edhalen suggested, they replied very fast actually and confirmed what Pete said.
They said this hole is for the RFID tag that they use in production to allow the buffing robot to identify the guitar, and it is a standard part of production and nothing to be concerned about.

Now OCD me will search for the holes in my other EBMM guitars lol.

Thanks again Pete for your informed reply! :)
