BTW Brent pmmed me and wanted to know if your wanted to selol that EVH he will give you USD$1,200.00 HEHEHEHEHE

OT: - did you hear he fell of his bike and broke his collar bone in 3 places ?
Hope gets better and back to balls.

I don't play my DD luke as much, it's an amazing guitar but to be honest all the talk of them being worth a lot scares me to play it - I'm frightened in case I break it! - I'll de-sensitise over a while (or when I get a Mr horsepower!)

This guitar has never been played. See, it still has the old tagger on it........ Don't touch it

I was just pointing at it...

Don't point.... It can never be played, ever........ I think you have had enough of that one.

the only guitars worth having are those you play... i've had a few vintage pieces in my collection and i used to play them all the time... and when i no longer played them they were sold so they could be played... it's the only way to do it... a buddy of mine has an early era Tele that looks like it's been thrown around and beat up to heck and all the finish on the neck has been played through, his "back up" is a McCarty Gold top PRS that has never been played and it was sold last week... that being said... if you're not playing them you should consider selling it so it can be played... just my 2 on the issue!

I don't see the point in paying the money for something you won't get to enjoy. It's almost like having a badass muscle car and not driving it. It defeats the whole purpose of why the things were created, IMO

guitars are meant to be played.... the really cool guitars are the ones that have been broken in and used.... look at Steve Morse's original EBMM... or Luke's black sparkle... the idea of getting a guitar and not playing it is very alien to me...

+1.

imagine your wife think the same way about your ba88s. Oh honey, lets just keep them the way they are, I dont want to wear them out prematurely.

do you get a GF just to collect gf?

if i got'em, i'm gonna use them. if i wear out my woman's boobs, then i'd just get them re-boob'd :D :D

My 100% mint Trans Blue EVH sits in it's case, played it 10 mins since I bought it.

I DID buy it to play, but prefer my other EBMM's, so the EVH sits untouched. Probably worked out well, as it may be worth a bit down the line ?

I have a spot at my house that's perfect for storing that guitar. PM me for the shipping address. :p

One of the VPs at my company put together a $9000 racing bicycle...custom composite frame, titanium pedals, tires filled with hydrogen brought back from Jupiter...whatever. The thing weighs 1.4oz or something. He tells anyone who will listen about it.

I asked him if he could tell the difference between that and his previous bike which probably weighed a whole pound. He looked at me like I was speaking Martian...it's never even left his house. Yup, it's in the house, not even the garage. It's too valuable.

I think he was trying to impress me. He did, but not the way he intended.

I could see not playing a guitar that you might want to pass on down in the future, to a son or daughter, or grandchild, etc.
Otherwise give them the lovin' they deserve!

Being utilitarian (no, that's not a religion :p), I have no use for anything which serves no practical purpose. That said, if somebody wants to shell out their dough for an ax they never play, it's their balls not mine.

You know guys, you can justify having more guitars if you have "some" you play and "some" you don't . This stack here, and that stack there. And, by the way, we CAN"T combine the two stacks, they are toatally seperate and distinct groups (when having to explain this to the "other" half.) Some of you know what I mean! Just another "tool" boys!

I know you all have em!!! You know, that certain MM guitar(s) or bass(s) that you've determined you will never play.
For sure not all of us. I don't have any of those :D

I don't think I would ever buy a guitar just "to have it". And if I will realise one day, that I don't play one of my guitars, then I think I will just sell it.

But... if it works for You, then it's ok :)
