For what its worth Tristan, I think they should at least credit your name on their site when they use the video. I'm not sure about legal concerns, but hey its the decent thing to do.
sure - watching a $40 DVD free online does screw all the people involved in that production out of their cut... the band, producer etc - it makes complete sense to get that stuff off the site (unless some ad rev share thing happens with the copyright owners).
videos that arent for sale - well, there's no stealing involved. dont expect someone to credit you - credit yourself with watermarks throughout the video and a spoken intro saying who you are and where [online] people can learn more about you & your work
