sure - watching a $40 DVD free online does screw all the people involved in that production out of their cut... the band, producer etc - it makes complete sense to get that stuff off the site (unless some ad rev share thing happens with the copyright owners).

videos that arent for sale - well, there's no stealing involved. dont expect someone to credit you - credit yourself with watermarks throughout the video and a spoken intro saying who you are and where [online] people can learn more about you & your work

I agree with you on the commercially available DVD concerts. But the quality on YOUTUBE is usually so bad you wouldn't want them anyway. The thing I'll be most disappointed about is if they remove footage from concerts, and festivals that most people don't have a chance to see live......download festival, live earth, crossroads festival. Also, I'll miss videos from bands that I like that Britney Spears lovin' MTV and Much Music don't play.

It'll be interesting to see how things turn out.

I just had a chat with the owner of the store...the was a deal between him and HTD, so no problem, they just did not tell me..

he is a music man fan and one of the very rare sellers of VHT in france...plus he is extremly nice, I think it would be a good idea to make a demo there....
