Thanks James........ for finding a black onyx sterling for me to buy and taking time out in your day to go over and be my eyes,ears and hands.This truly is a great forum.Not only do we get to play the best instruments out there we get to deal with such great people on this forum.I already payed for the bass.And now the long wait.And i will post a review when i get the guitar and post pic's.Thanks again James.

Was this the Black Onyx at the Denmark Street store in London?

Either way excellent purchase....enjoy.:)

Yeah, I wish it was!

Haven't been to the U.K. yet; my wife's been there three times for business...I'm insanely jealous, as London is a goal city for me travel-wise.

Ted ~ no problem checking out the Sterling for you; one helluva bass!

I couldn't be your ears, though, as he had the bass at his client's house, and didn't have his amp there (far as I knew).

But, based on the overall condition of the bass, looks like he took very good care of it, and I have no doubts about the electronics working.

ive never been to europe and im soooooo tired from working at work, then on my side projects etc that im almost at the point where im gonna ignore the fact that flying there this summer will cost too much. so, i might head on over there by september for a lil vacation
