Jeez if the GC near me had that much stuff I'd actually go there to shop. They might have 3 MM basses on a good day, and only Ampeg amps. No Mesa, and no PJB..that's for darn sure. Did I see a Ken Smith there too?

Yeah. There was a mighty nice Ken Smith 6 up on the wall. Never did pick it up though. I was in a trance by that HH SR5.

I think it's cool that you guys can go hang out togther at GC and try a few basses out as 'forum friends'. Looks like fun was had by all.

How bout getting serious & doing us a review of those 2 pup 'Rays?

J

I would personally love to give a review at the moment but i've got to head to work. I'm sure Travis will post one when he gets on here. Personally, I think those were honestly the best basses I have ever played. That SR5 in the middle position almost had me in tears. I only have to wait 6 more months for mine. :D

So, as a spur the moment thing, me and Travis decided to head up to Guitar Center. And here are the results....

Let's start with the selection they had....

Its sapphire black w/ moonstone. Looked killer and I noticed that Ray was about 8.5 pounds.

Id write a review, but frankly, I just dont feel like it right now.

Yeah, and most of them have the tips of the knife switches broken off, they're scratched and dented, missing knobs, etc.

I SOOOO love my SR5 (blue dawn), but to have a dual pickup one...oh, man. I would consider selling, but I just can't. Mine is such an amazing player...Oh, the agony!

Don't hand me that, young man. Do your homework, clean your room, and write that review. 500 word minimum.
