So tonight my ladyfriend and i were heading into town for a little date. I live in a small town thats within short distance of a fairly large city, but it's still a nuisance to get out there, so whenever i can i make a point of getting to the places i need to go in one trip. There had been a strap i was eyeing at a music shop i've been to a couple of times and i just got paid so i decided i'd go pick it up while i was out. But i digress.

I know the music store i went to was an authorized EBMM dealer, and i had seen a bit of stock in there before, like a SUB and i think a stingray of some kind, but this was before i became an afficionado and they never really caught my eye, so i never really expected them to carry anything worthwhile. But as i went in and started looking around after grabbing my strap, i noticed something that made my day.

6 new MM basses had been put up on the wall :D. Listen to the awesome list if gear they got in: a SUB, a vintage burst SR5H, A 20th aniversary SR5 HS (that looked totally rad btw), and the most awesome surprise, A Dargie SR4 and SR5 :D . Seeing them in person was awesome, they looked amazing. I pointed out the martini glass inlays to my girl and she just laughed at both me and the bass :D . This best part for me though, was that they had gotten in an SR4 HH, which i currently have on order. This was my first chance to actually play a dual pick up version (i had decided to order one based mostly on concept and reviews) and i was blown away. The sound was awesome, the extra pickups adds so much, and the feel of it was so amazing. It really did play like butter :D . It made me so much more excited for mine to show up. Had it not been an ugly finish (Some kind of copper or gold i'm not exactly sure, but i deffinately didn't appeal to me) i no doubt would've bought it on the spot. I would've taken pics of them all but me and my lady were in a hurry.

Sorry about the long rambling post but i thought i'd share my awesome experience with people who could really appreciate it ;)

Don't even second guess it my friend, it will be the best purchase you can make. You should just run outside and order one right now ;) :D

Black Cherry Burst is the BEST burst that BP offers IMO.

I go as far to say thats it's the best burst finish anyone offers. I'm not really a fan of bursts in general, especially stuff like honeyburst and sunburst and whatnot, but the black and the red together with the woodgrain looks so slick and i've never seen any other manufacturer make anything just as good as it. If only i could get it on bongo's :D
