Kindness is Kontageous...

I started a thread recently questioning why come to this forum when I can't afford any new balls...I think I've found my answer.

It's scenarios like this that brings it all into focus, and makes me realize how stupidly insignoficant my thread sounded.

Thanks BP, Beaver and the rest of you knuckleheads for snapping me back to reality.

JayDawg, donation sent, prayers to all of your family, God bless.

Awesome! Thank you very much. I am looking forward to this relay for life walk. There will be other people there that I plan on making contacts with and seeing how we can work together on future benefits or anything else.

It's funny because all last night, all I did was dream about this bass and dreamt that I was playing it. I kept on waking up swearing I already had it but then as soon as I would go back to sleep, I would start dreaming about it again. Today at work was fun. I was letting all of my co-workers know about it and what everyone has done to help out. They were all really blown away by everyone graciousness and generosity as well.

Just wanted to drop in. Rochelle had her mastectomy yesterday and she is now recovering in the hospital but should be home hopefully tomorrow. They said some of her lymph nodes that were removed were fused together and that is a concern because that is a sign of cancer in the lymph nodes but the doctor also said that they could be that way and inflamed due to her recent surgery where they removed the mass from her breast a few weeks ago. He also said that they won't know for sure until the test results come back either Friday or Monday. So we are obviously hoping and praying that the lymph nodes are cancer free and then she can move forward with her recovery.
Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers!

Anything that the EBMM company wants to do to customize the bass is fine with me. I figure they are the experts at designing and building these basses and I trust their work.

My wife is now home and resting from the hospital. She is still in pain but is doing okay. The hardest part is making her realize that even though she is "Mom", we need to let her rest and myself and the kids need to do the housework, dishes and laundry. She keeps wanting to get up and do them. Then she tires herself out.

Tomorrow we get the test results back so I will also update everyone then with what is found out. Also, Scott, I am sorry to hear about your Dad. I absolutely hate cancer and it really breaks my heart to see how many people have been effected bu it either directly or know someone who has been effected by it. Actually, it's not just cancer but all sicknesses and diseases. I was unaware of what had happened with Big Poppa's son until someone had mentioned it in here. When we were at Children's hospital last year during my sons open heart surgery, I realized there are so many people that are effected by so many different things and unfortunately, we all want a cure for all of those things because they have effected either ourselves and/or loved ones. I wish I could do more to help raise funds for all of the issues of health in the world but I am only 1 person so with the areas that God has allowed my family to face a trial, I will concentrate on those things to do my part to help raise funds and awareness to find a cure for those things.

Thank you all again for everything. I know I have said it in probably every post I have made but you all do not know how much all of your kindness and generosity has touched my family. Even if it was nothing more than encouragement or positive thoughts. All is appreciated.

hope all goes well with the results and I think we all admire you for how much you are having to deal with and still doing everything you can to help others not many people would make the time so you caring about others is why so many people are showing you how much they care about you good luck and I just got my first musicman and understand why so many people like them it is the company as much as the guitars

Just read this thread and how amazing it all is. Can't wait to see the bass when it's finished. Very very cool.

Well, we have great news everyone! The initial reports from Rochelle lymph nodes have come back that there is no cancer in them. The official results won't be in for another week but they should also be the same. Basically our hospital does the initial tests but then sends everything to the Mayo clinic for official results. The surgeon did recommend chemo for my wife though just as a precaution because she is fairly young. She is also have some genetic test done to determine of the cancer has a high possibility of returning. If it is, then they will do a second mastectomy as a preventative measure and also possibly a complete hysterectomy as well but we won't know all of that until a week after we get those test results back.

Right now, I am just so thankful that the cancer had not spread. We found it early enough and have been very blessed. For all of you ladies out there or men with wives or girlfriends, I cannot stress enough how important getting checked is. Because we found this early, this saved her life. What is kind of bad though, and this is something that I would like to see changed, is everyone is told to get checked after 40 years old. My wife is 36. I also know of quite a few women that have been diagnosed in their 20's. I really think women should start getting yearly checks at 20 instead of 40. Had my wife not found the lump on my birthday, then within a few weeks to a few months, the cancer would have spread to her lymph nodes and also likely elsewhere too.

When we get all of the other results back next week, I will update everyone again. I too am looking forward to having this bass built. When this final good news that we received today, I have a renewed sense to now be even more proactive. I was feeling just beat up and down when the surgeon initially told us that her lymph nodes were inflamed and were not looking good. The surgeon told us that, that usually means cancer has spread there too but there was also a chance they were inflamed from when her lump was originally removed. Needless to say, our minds were only thinking the worst. Everything has happened so fast over this past month but things are now looking up. I know that I have mentioned this before but I am a Christian pastor and God has been not only good to us but has been great to us. He has given us what we have needed to get through this. Now this is one more thing in life that we can use to minister to others but will now have personal experience to relate.
Again thank you all for everything you have done!
