The best I've ever played

Ok, I have to be kinda short 'cause I'm at work now and there is a lot to do:
I got the bass approx. seven hours ago and it is by far the best fretted bass guitar I have ever laid my hands on.
I absolutely love it already. I felt immediately at home on it, it is so so comfortable.
The bass is gorgeous, mine has a beautiful quilt top.
The sound is just the best. The Stingray sound with that magic toneblock enhances the mids to perfection. This is the bass of my dreams, and it will be my main bass from now on, and I say this with confidence having played it just a couple of hours.
My teal Stingray that's been my no.1 for 11 years is now playing 2nd. fiddle.
I'm also very happy that I went for the HS option. The front single coil sound was a wonderful suprise. Let me put it this way. I was thinking about getting a P-bass down the line. I don't need a P-bass anymore. I've got something better. This bass can do it all. All positions are musical and sounds great.
I will take pictures later probably over the weekend when I'll visit my friend who has the gear to do it. I'll make a new thread most likely.
Thank you everybody at EBMM for making this happen!
I'm very, very happy!!!:) times a million.

K-Congrats. I can hear the excitement in your voice, like a small child on Christmas Day. It's a good feeling. I love how these basses inspire me to play.

more 20th SR5 Rah Rah

I didn't get to play it amplified the first few days, as I was away from home. Initial thoughts were WOW! A really beautiful looking bass. The case is good too. More practical than the case which came with the 30th SR4(I bought a musicman hard case for it, and have the lovely burgundy leather one stashed somewhere safe).
The craftsmanship on this instrument is really something. Typical EBMM quality but taken to the next level. Absolutely flawless.

So, all in all a great bass. I haven't touched my Bongos this week, but no doubt I'll go back to them. This bass will definitely get lots of play, though, as it is so versatile.

Hope you liked my little report, anyone thinking of getting one of these should go for it.

Congratulations on your new 20th and your good judgement in selecting one for yourself:)If I didn't have a new sweetie pie waiting for me down the end of the south wing here on second floor rehab, I'd lay around here whining for a while about not having a new 20th for myself, nor the left arm/hand functionsto cuddle it with, but as it is, she has some hugs and kisses for me and I need them real bad these daze:)z Enjoy that new 20th

This thread was really getting to me. To the point that I was thinking of taking on more dept (that I don't need at this time) just to get my hands on a 20th. Then Pzo posts a comment from rehab and puts it all in perspective for me. I'll keep praying for you, Pzo, take care.

My 20th HS is basically the only bass I play now. It's been this way since the day it was delivered. Every time I play it I'm blown away at the playability and tonal quality. I may never need another bass again.
