Hey guys, Nick from The Swellers here. In the last few days, A Wilhelm Scream's bassist bailed right at the beginning of their US tour with Less Than Jake. They recruited me as a fill-in bassist for the Detroit show a couple days ago, but since then decided they wanted me to do the whole tour. I dropped out of college, and I head to Chicago tomorrow to finish up the rest of the tour.

Why is this relavant to the EBMM boards? Well... I'm a guitar player/vocalist normally, but now I get to rip on my Stingray for a tour! Also, you guys should come out to a show if we're coming to a town near you, I need to meet some new people on the road!

Nick that's great!! Is the tour coming to the Boston area, I didn't see it listed, but you might know more than what the website says? Nick, duh, I didn't know that they were from New Bedford, cool.

Dropped out of school, are you going to be going back?? I hope so man, school is one of the best things you can do.

Enjoy being on the road, how about some pictures of the SR5???

Nick, if you want to try a double H Bongo, I'll try to bring one down to your show in Tempe. I'm not positive that I'm going to make it, but I think that it'll be in the cards - it'll help if I have a good excuse to be there. :)

Wow guys, thanks for all the great responses! Since I've been gone for about a week now, I haven't checked the forums, but I was very happy to see you all in this thread.

Everything has been going great, still getting used to Wilhelm's bass rig and bass (i'm now using THEIR stingray, using mine as a backup), and the touring life. It'd be great to rock a Bongo live sometime, but I'm still getting used to playing a bass PERIOD, so I'm diggin the ray for now. Unfortunately we're not coming out to the east coast; we just have anaheim, tempe, new mexico, 4 dates in texas, and 4 dates in florida left.

if anyone wants to get on the guest list for these shows, call me at (810) 241-6128 and I'll try my best to squeeze you in. anaheim is pretty tight so far, but tempe and the rest might be ok. thought I'd put that out there, too. take care!
