Tuff call bro. When you take care of the wife they often take care of you! Mine has been trying to get me playing again and new I had the new gig lined up and thought that a Music Man with piezo was the oerfect guitar for that and when day when showing her a used one on ebay I found she said you know what let's get you that ball. The price on it got to high and she said for that we buy a new one with a full warranty in the color of our choice. She joined the form lost her mind got some GAS and the rest is now history.
Do you have any gear you can sell to fund your futur purchases? That always helps. Get her involved here and when she sees all the good looking guitars and fun she might get hooked like mine did. Also have you considered used I see used Balls at awsome prices all the time. Lastly what's the build times on those. Most places want down payments and then you have months to save the rest. If the build time is long just order one for her and maybe yours and say hey babe now that we have both ordered what we want we have x amount of time before they are built let's tighten our belts and get the money to pay these off.
