I don't know if I feel fat or skinny. I'm 6'2" and 185. I miss being 15 pounds lighter when I was swimming actively though. Man I was in awesome shape.

Nashman and 7770, that is a real consideration. Would it look dorky as hell? I hope not because I might get one.

The butterfly bass kills me. :p

Hey Lisa. I think it's worth a try. It would seem like a logical stepping stone, especially if you are happy with your current bass - other than the weight.

If you don't like it/the look, then get a new bass.

I live in Canada ... winter coats can look dorky too ... the options are look good and freeze or be practical and stay warm.

Ok, I know I am just asking for it!

Have you tried a Steinberger bass? I have an old XL-2, and it's like having 4 strings just floating in front of you! I think Hohner makes a nice copy. And it sounds quite good with the active EQ.

Ritchie

p.s. Before you start flaming me, remember, I have 3 EBMM basses and only 1 Stieny! :p

I had never sent a PM on here before. Maybe I will now start PMing Poppa just for laughs.

Like I told Stevo ..... I have neoprene, wide leather, you name it ..... it will take that dorky Home Depot looking thing for me to survive my 90 minute gig but that is fine by me. It is cheaper than a dang Daisy Rock. I still want a second Sterling. Nothing will change that.

It would be fun to goof with one of those but it wouldn't have that MM sound.

I've got one of those Hohner copies. Good bass for the price.

The neoprene I'm sending you eliminates the "bounce" to it by the way it's stitched. I'm also sending you one of my custom designed "neck dive cure" straps I had made by Glenn Chronkhite for your evaluation. On their way!

I'm half naked, drunk and high and on the other side of town right now but your straps will fly down under on Monday Tiffiepoo.
