...AWESOME.
I have dealt with many stores and companies but EBMM takes the cake.
While the "booteek" and "guitarist's pro shop" snobs look down their nose at you, EBMM treats you as if you MATTER!
The "other" guys try to con you into thinking that they're hip and happening just because they do work for "Jimmy Jazzer" or "Randy Rockhead" etc., meanwhile, Jon and the crew ARE working with the heavies yet still make time for the "mortal" customers like me.
Simply put, my next guitar will be another AXIS simply because these guys have earned my trust and respect and most of those other cats only care about the bulge in my pants....my wallet!
end of rant

Yeah, their Customer Support is awesome. I have gotten a little upset in the past with people who have put down Jon and his work. I really went off the deep end in that thread....hehehe...

I have talked to Jon on the phone and he is just a really cool guy with one of the best jobs in the world. We talked for about 15 minutes and it was like talking to a long lost friend. Plus, he helped me out about a small delimna I had and put me at ease. How cool is that?

I have said a 1,000 times and will say it again...Jon, I thank you for the work you do and for what you do for us. EBMM Customer Service is the BEST bar none!

I haven't had any problems that would require me to call Ernie Ball, but Jon and the rest of the regulars around here are very helpful in solving problems, always professional, polite and sympathic.

Scott.

I have previously been very negative about customer services on this forum. However, I have mellowed quite a bit in recent months and have realised that my problems with them were pure frustration at the ongoing difficulties with my guitar. I still have ongoing issues with the guitar (or lack thereof!) but am confident they will be resolved. :)

Yeah, when I had a problem with my AL's piezo, Jon flew to my house in the EBMM Learjet, fixed it up quick, gave me a backrub and walked my dog for me. They are the best. He said he would do the same for anyone else as well, so don't hesitate to ask...

Nothing but praise for all the folks out in SLO. Every time I've had a question it's been answered promptly in a courteous and professional manner. Kevin, Dan, they all have this customer service thing down pat.

How many guitar companies or any company for that matter ask you to "give us a call in a few weeks and we'll tell you where your guitar is in the process..."? Doesn't happen.

And then there's Jon. I sent my Petrucci back because I felt the relief just wasn't right, I was getting fret buzz. Jon gets it and says, "I think I can take care of this". Alright he's the expert, no problem. I get a call the next day, "hey Fred, I'm just not happy with this, I sealed the neck and set it up, but I'm just not happy with the relief. I'm gonna have a new neck made for it." You could have knocked me over with a feather. He could have saved himself a lot of time and the company some money and sent it back to me, but he didn't.

I don't know how else to show my appreciation for the EB company other than through my wallet. So I ordered the Morse Y2D. I can also say with some certainty that I will probably never have any reason to buy a guitar from another company other than EB. They have something to cover anyone out there.

Hey have I kissed up enough??? Sorry, it's just how I feel.

So to everyone out in SLO from Big Poppa on down, thanks from someone not connected in any way, other than being one very satisfied customer.

Hard not to like these guys after everything they do to make us happy. And better guitar players.

Hey thindave, did Jon use the gun oil and wax blend on your rubdown.

I'd have to give em a thumbs up as well. In 2001 (I think?) Ernie Ball had a run of leather/velcro, EVH-ish straps that were shown at NAMM and distributed in a limited number to dealers. I could not get one anywhere. So I spoke to customer service and the woman I spoke to (I can't remember her name) actually called the distributor here and told them how badly I wanted one, and arranged for me to purchase it directly from the distributor. I think I'm the only person within 2000 miles who has one like it. I was completely amazed that they'd do that for me.

Good post Fred. I agree completely. EB customer service is the best. I continue to love my Axis SS and see no reason to ever buy an electric other than Music Man.

I think the care and pride and skill of the employees infuse all aspects of the Ernie Ball Music Man company and are definitely well reflected in their products and service. Many companies could learn a great deal from them. And me, I just love their instruments! :D
