I bought the Majesty from a local GC about a year ago. Actually I traded a BFR JP12 for it. I had been gigging primarily with Parkers since 1995. The JP12 showed me EBMM could make what I neede for most of my work. The Majesty has been a GREAT working guitar. I have used it heavily and it has become as comfortable as a custom leather glove. There is no fret wear apparent to the naked eye. The black finish has smoothed in areas where there is a lot of body interface. I find this to be character. I placed some plastic cling material above the bridge to protect the finish from some bracelets I wear. I removed this last week. There was some crud build up around the edges that was easily removed. Now that that is done there is no indication that it was ever there. It protected the finish as I had hoped. On that thought, there are NO dings or scratches or wear that you might expect after a year of hard use. Just lucky in that regard I guess although the satin finish is very road worthy. As reported by other owners the finish on the metal parts started deteriorating very quickly. Especially the bridge plate. Customer service gave me another which I will wait to put on at a time when I am ready to part with the guitar. Good companies have great customer service departments. This is a good company. I do think this is quite an unnecessary fault of a exceptional instrument that deserves a fix. I hope the gold trim on the Artisan has longer legs. Now, I am a sucker for wood. I had made up my mind that I wanted an Artisan when they became available. Then the JP15 appeared. Beautiful addition to my stable. Not as comfortable a fit as the Majesty but it has it's own voice and I love it. Hope this has helped those curious about the Majesty. If you have questions I will do my best to answer. image.jpg

Nice post. I too am very curious on how the gold hardware holds up and if the plating on the Majesty hardware is any different than other models (probably not, but you never know). The gold hardware on my newest JP6 BFR (not even a year old and not gigged/played often) is already wearing off, especially the volume/tone knobs... so much so I'm thinking about switching them out to black.
