I made a post last time about my 15' 100w acoustic bass... but this time, i am looking for a pretty good 10' or 12' amp for slapping. Price range 200-350. Can anyone give me any suggestions? I tried playing on my friends amp and it was fantastic. the slap and pops sounded so much more clear and all that :p

I have a small behringer bass amp shaped like a wedge. 180 watts thru a 12". Paid $180 for it. It is very slap happy!

That's a pretty sweet amp. If the upper amt. you'd like to spend is 350, why not save for a month or so more and until you have 450ish and pick one of those up. Do you have a GC by you, they are always running some kinda promotion...this memorial day I think they are sending out flyers for an additional $50 off items over 400 or something like that. Don't forget GC also does trade ins...so that acoustic of yours might help soften the blow if you trade it.

yeahhhh it says its omly 299.99 right now for that same amp. but i dont know if thats if i buy it online or at the store. and yesss there is a GC around here. 2 of them actually. i was hoping to get at least 150ish for the acoustic and just pay another 150 for that amp. would ya recommend it? i havent played too many amps so i need an opinion from a veteran :p

Sounds like it's a good buy if you like the sound. If you're good friends with the guy who has the one you got to jam on why don't you see if he wants to trade amps for a week then you can really get some time with one before you decide.
