Hey guys !

I jus have a quick question about string gauges, specifically on neck or action adjustments when changing gauges. So I've been using Cobalts 10s on my Telecaster, and have always had my guitar set up by a local luthier.
I have a JP6 BFR on backorder, and about strings gauge I read :

- on the FAQ page : John Petrucci 6 (Including BFR, JPX, JPXI): RPS-Regular Slinkys (10-46) catalog #2240
- on the JP6 BFR page : RPS 9 Slinkys #2239

So I have 2 simple question I hope you can answer :
- Is is going to be 9s or 10s ?
- and if it's 9s, is it necessary or not to adjust action/neck etc... after putting on some Cobalts 10s ?

Hope you have an answer !
Thanks in advance !

Sylvain.

PS : the second may sound stupid to those who know, but I don't want o do anything wrong when this baby comes ;)

JP switches gauges every so often, so it's whatever he's playing. I'm sure someone here'll know for sure.

If you change gauges, you'll need to adjust the truss rod, but shouldn't need to do much else. If you're just switching sets (nickel-ish to cobalt) you should be good to go.

That FAQ section is updated now! Thanks for the heads up!
