I read somewhere that one of this pope's issues is with 'rock music' and the effect it has on moral corruption. He sounds like a fun guy.

Well, what do you expect? He was the head of the Vatican's "Office of the Doctrine for the Congregation of the Faith" (or a title similar to that), which is the modern-day evolution of the Inquisition.

Honest to goodness here.. the Inquisition was never officially ended.. it evolved into that very office which the new Pope formerly presided over. Do some research for yourself and you'll see find that it's true.

Anyway, that being the case, I expect he'll be a pretty hardcore Pontiff.

Personally, I'm not too fussed on the name the Pope picked for himself (Benedict)
If it was up to me to choose the name, I'd have picked 'HR POPE N STUFF'.
Maybe EBMM could take a leaf out of the Vaticans book. When they've picked the new Morse guitar white smoke will come out a chimney and when they haven't black smoke.

Some one told me that if the smoke that came out of the chiminy was on the water and the fire was in the sky that the drummer for Deep Purple would have been the new pope.

Should we be watching for purple smoke? ;)

OC...

I love the old Fugazi song "Shut the Door". I haven't heard any of their stuff in over 15 years... I'll have to grab the 'repeater' CD and refresh my memory.
