acoustic amp distorting through piezo

i have an marshall asd50 acoustic amp, i use both my jps with it. recently it started distorting whenever the chorus is turned on, it sounds like its being played through with a guitar with a VERY low battery. this isnt really a question regarding any problems with the guitars, because the batterys are both fresh and this happens on the same amp at the guitar store i work at. i tried my jp through a little roland acoustic amp there and it was fine.

just wondering if anyone with ANY acoustic amp has found that possibly there is some sonic deterioration due to use with piezo. I highly doubt it, seeing as all electric acoustic instruments have some sort of pickup, but im just trying to cover all my bases.

probably you have to adjust your level output
i've played long time with a roland ac 90 and never noticed distorded sounds

I HAVE FOUND THAT ACOUSTIC amps vary so much ... my AER handles both my piezo guitars very well with no distortion whatsoever. I was disappointed with the marshall acoustic amp.

What I think of as the 'old style' Marshall/Carlsbro style acoustic amps totally suck when compared to the newer AERs, Schertlers, and SR Technology amps.

this is what was causing the problem. i have a homemade stereo AB box i recently build to take advantage of the stereo JP output.

i had this AB box between the guitar and the amp (other amp is a mesa, which im currently recording with at another spot) and with the AB in the chain, the amp will distort ONLY WHEN THE ONBOARD CHORUS EFFECT IS ENGAGED. the chorus will work still with the guitar straight into the amp.

i wired up the box very very simply, one stereo input wired to 2 mono outputs are jacks input and output specific? or will the same jack accept ins and outs?

ive recently put up a call for an EB splitter, i plan on get one from Pete Dubaldo if I can get into contact with him or even one of these ones ive heard they build in house.

I'm just curious why to want to use a splitter while you can have 2 cables and manage everything with the switch on your JP.

The box is useful for silo or Albert that haven't got the switch like the JP, the Luke or the Axis.

I use 2 cables and I'm very happy with that setup

i see what your saying, but id really rather only have one cable plugged in, it has obviously been made for this purpose and id like to take advantage of it
