I just bought a new MM12TLA 12 string acoustic electric on Ebay. The only information I could find was a press release dated January, 2004 by OLP announcing the release of this 12 string and two 6 string acoustic electrics that OLP had been licensed to make for Ernie Ball.
I bought it new with hard shell case, strap, capo, and cord for $ 249.99. It is a great looking guitar, but what happen? Did it flop and if so, why? I'm very happy with the guitar but I am curious why it didn't sell. Thanks.

Obviously, this appears to be your first post, so I will start by saying welcome. :)

As far as your guitar, sounds good in regards to the guitar and the deal that you got. These guitars are made by OLP and ONLY OLP; Ernie Ball/Music Man has to this day not had an acoustic guitar in their lineup. These guitars are based off on the body and headstock style of an EBMM, but that is the only similarity.

It's a good guitar, from what I've heard (I've not had the opp to sit with one yet), but this guitar was based on body style only EBMM wise. This was no "flop", and as long as you're happy with it, then that full on removes a "flop" label. :)

I've seen a few of these when I was in Las vegas for Bela Fleck the first week in November.

I popped in to Ed Roman's

I had $400 bucks I brought for gambling but didn't gamble at all (long story).

They had a 12, and a couple of 6 string acoustic/electrics. and also a beautiful blue axis shaped 6 string with a lower bout sound hole. Didn't plug in but felt pretty good.

I ended up buying only a banjo magnet for 5 bucks though.

Hmm.... after working out the letters to replace Jon's "***"s and a quick google search I get the idea!
