Action problem on 93 EVH

I just picked up a killer amber quilt EVH off Ebay but I'm having some problems getting the action down
like my 94. I've adjusted the neck but I'm getting an over bow before I can get the action down the way I want like my other EVH. I was wondering if these came with a shim in the neck and maybe it was removed or fell out at some point.

Over bow? A shim can't fix neck curvature. Without seeing the guitar in person it's impossible to say what's up here. There are a few things that might need adjusting, a shim is only one of those possibilities.

Get in touch with customer service, (see the link in my signature below) and they'll help get you sorted out (assuming there is not a good guitar tech in your area, who should be able to sort it out in no time).

alot of the evh/axis need a shim. I have always had all my guitars at 1/16. My trans blue 95 needed a shim to accomplish this, my pink did not. Alot of factors here man

I think it does I took a measurement of my 94 and it sits in the pocket a bit deeper not much but enough to make a difference so I bet the shim fell out at one point. The shim will make it perfect because it's really close to were I want it.
