All..

Been playing around on my y2d setting it up and am very happy with it however I noticed that looking at the floyd back-plate where it sits against the top, it is now slightly uneven; there now is a hairline space on the treble side meaning that it's slightly higher due to the size of the high E string (much thinner than the low E string and only a little bit lower in action..so overall requiring a slight lift on the bridge). Is this OK? I'm thinking it's an inevitable result of adjusting the bass and treble strings to be ideal height as they'll require slightly varying clearances. Otherwise I don't notice any side effects..the thing plays like a dream..

My Axis Floyd came set up that way as well, But higher on the Low E side. The action for me is fine though and it stays in tune. I had set the guitar for Eb tuning and then noticed the height of the plate on the Floyd. I set the tuning back up to E, Still the same with the back plate. I added another spring, So 3 springs now. Still the same. I like having the 3 springs and the Axis plays like a dream, So I'm leaving well enough alone. Adding a 3rd spring
changed the tone for the better. I dont know if it's my ears or what. But after the 3rd spring I was like wow! This is nice.:):) Good luck

Appreciate the feedback; I've added a third spring as well..definitely better tone and feel (I like something you can grab a hold of ;P).. Sounds like nothing to worry about..it's only a hairline gap anyway.
Thanks.
