Advice needed. Is this is a real OLP?

Hi folks! Pardon me if this is not the appropriate group to post this but I just happen to see this OLP guitar in a thrift-shop.

Just wanted your opinions if this is a legit OLP or if it is a fake? The close location of volume and tone knobs what really irks me ! How can you even use those pots!

Is the headstock a different color? That's wouldn't have left a factory like that. And the two knobs like that are not stock. Probably had just the volume knob and the other knob was added after. The pickup rings are an addition too. Is the bridge even original?

That's a heavily modified Olp in bad condition. Even at that price, it's too much, IMHO.

I'd say let it go , nothing against modding the guitars , but it should upgrade the instrument not ruin it ...
If you're looking for an Axis and the budget is tight try Sterling by MM AX or Sub line - excellent value for the money , IMHO way way better than OLP in general .

Definitely jacked up, and definitely not worth the price. You can pick up a used SBMM AX series in that same price range and get a better guitar. That's what I'd shop for, given the choice.

Thank you all, I'll pass on that then! I thought I was already getting a bargain! Really liking the unique look of these EBMM/ OLB guitars!

Anyhow, which is better, a STERLING S.U.B SERIES AX3 or STERLING S.U.B SERIES SILO 3 coming from a noob in these type of guitar? I'm also a long user of Ibanez and Stratocaster type guitars.

They are different beasts : AX 3 is just Axis Super Sport - 2 humbuckers , floating trem while Silo is Silhouette : Hss , floating trem , superstrat type guitar . I bet you propably can’t find better dealz for the money , all you have to do is choose your flavour
