Just wondering if I could get some advice.. I dont usually play bass's but I decided to take it up and as a result am looking at a 4 string bongo with dual humbuckers.. Just wondering what colours are good, and if its worth paying extra for a limited edition radiance red one?

Yeah, red ones make you play faster. The trans ones have a more transparent tone to them, more open especially accentuating the single coil if you get an HS. The sparkle ones are brighter. And much more attacky to boot. You should check mine out - you can't even see it.

No, but seriously, what's your favorite colo(u)r?

From my research this week radiance red is a rare find. Find a colour you like and buy it. I will become instataneously jalous of your 1st bass :) good luck with your learning, bass is a terrific instrument.

I am a tad bit biased on this (since I have a Rd. Red Ltd for sale :D) - seriously, go for what you like. You like Red get Red, you like black, get black. Just make sure you are happy with your purchase. You can't afford what you want, save for a bit... because when you get whatever it is you want, you need to be sure you're happy.

As for the worth of a LTD that is a question that only you can answer. Are you doing it for the numbers, the look, the "cool" factor of it??? Is it the nonmatching headstock? Is it just because it is a rarity? Yeah, the market can dictate these factors, but you are the one who has to decide "is it worth it to me."

Well since they arent being imported into australia anymore, they're all rare hehe. No one buys them here. The rad red is a tad more than the others

Rad Red is a color that you can still order - I think @ a $100-150 upcharge because of the metalics in the paint (it has the matching head stock and is not considered to be a LTD, but still a bit rare). I can't remember what the upcharge was on the LTDs (they were different in that they had the black headstock with gold lettering and the LTD neckplate - pretty rare). Either way it is a very cool color.

me think distributor put on order list.

Seriously, not sure about this "no longer importing bongo's" line. I'd look into it a bit deeper.

Oh you know there is someone who will order one in. I think some one is giving you bad info. They may not be ordering for stock, but any can special order for you (you just have to wait awhile)
