Dr Groove if your other bass is active please disregard....Mot people that have a hard time eqing our basses make the mistake of starting for full on rather than from flat. Start you tone quest from there. When Im in a boomy room I actually cut the bass and the treble and boost the mids slightly then tweak from there.
The other problem is that people ausually set their amp's EQ where they set it with their previous bass. Each instrument and amp have different "sweet spots" So also start with your amps eq flat and tweak from there.
