BP as you have said the 25th will live on just not as the 25th, just curious to see if it will be 'as is' ie a bfr type construction or are you planning on making it from basswood (without the tine block etc) for a 'normal' model or both?
just curious as moneys been a bit tight this year so couldnt get one!

thanks

Nothing wrong with basswood. I don't know why it gets such a bad rap. I've always found it to be well balanced tonally with a tight response. Adding the chambering in the 25th opened it up and added resonance. The 25th has a unique blend of resonance and tightness.

I'm really glad to hear it's going to live on!

I think the bass in basswood makes 6 stringers suspect of it. :) Time for a rename!

Basswood and mahogany are my favorite woods. It's a tie for me.

Mahogany tone block in a basswood body = the ultimate tone combo, IMHO.

Chambering makes it that much better.
