Fast forward about a year later, I gave Gerry 2 tix to a game, he took his son and crossed his fingers. BAM. his son (11) absolutely loved it, and now lives and breathes the Lakers, as well as plays basketball all the time now. Thereby giving gerry and his son a gift that will last them forever.

And me a great feeling of being a part of that.

24 years young. I run the family music store, and work full-time playing pharmacist at an independent pharmacy here in town.

On top of all that, I have a few guitar students in the evenings - And I still manage to find time to gig on average twice a month, and persue my passion of restoring muscle cars

I'm investing in Jolt and No Doze....

Just turned 36 this past Saturday...(12/4..) QUOTE]

Cool Birthday Koogs, I turned 32 this year (also on 12/4). This was a big one for me. I started playing guitar on my 16th birthday so, now I've been obsessed with the guitar for longer than I haven't.

By day I'm a mild mannered stay at home dad with a four month old baby, a two year old demon, and a nine year old severly disabled step son.

By night (& weekends) I live, breathe, eat and sleep music. I play in as many cover bar bands as I can, I have a modest home recording studio that has started doing pro work for area projects, and I try and write and record my own prog/nu metal / rock creations. I taught guitar for a community college for awhile and gave lessons but I haven't been able squeeze that all in for some time.

So I guess you can say, thanks to my incredibly supportive wife that I'm a part time pro musician, full time pro diaper changer.

42 - Commercial mortgage underwriter/workout officer.

I also do theatrical lighting design for a local community theater group. Majored in tech theater in college, which is the roundabout way to become a banker. Designing a few shows a year keeps me sane.

Started playing about age 13 but its been a long hibernation - until my EBMM purchase this year.

I am 33 years old, I work for the City of Fort Worth as a sound and light tech but my title is Stagehand. I worked a Billy Bob's Texas from the age of 18 to 24 as a Stagehand where I got my start in sound and lighting. I was also a freelance lighting director for a company called Tru-Lite. Before I got into this field and when I can't find work in it I build houses. I have been playing guitar since I was 11.

I am 34 years old, and I am a Systems Inspector. Just a fancy way to say that I inspect Fire Alarm Systems. I work for an electronics contractor that installs and maintains Fire Alarm, Security Systems, Nurse Call, and Audio. In fact, our company installed the sound system at the Peoria Civic Center. Anyway, I'm also a member of the Illinois Air National Guard.

I'm 39 and I am a Mapping Technician/Computer Draftsman(person...ooops!). I worked as a foreman/supervisor and inspector in construction out in the field until my nerves got shot and thus decided to step back in time and try something different. Although I started playing when I was in my teens, I only started playing again after 15 years off, and you guessed it my first, NEW guitar was an EBMM SUB1...I'm married and I have two children, My son has Cerebral Palsy, but he has also been diagnosed wih ADHD and Autism...so I must say that I appreciate the work you are doing Lew...also Kbaim, that little gesture with the tickets was wonderful! Thanks!

Oh I should also mention hats off to Deadringer for his work with his step son...I admire your courage. Oh one more thing, thanks goes out to my wife who has put up with me for all of these years, especially lately with my severe case of G.A.S.

I win the old fart contest so far...

46, insurance company branch manager, father of two, soccer coach, and basement rocker (headphones a must!).

Played off and on from the age of about 12, but got back into playing about 5-6 years ago. Got my JP6 with piezo (Carbon blue Pearl) in April, but have been visiting this great board for over a year.

Nice to see the financial services well represented in the membership! Must be that math-music brain thing going on.

Cheers,

Jbert

Greetings all,

So nice to hear more things about my fellow Ernie Ballers. Makes me
feel like I really know y'all.

First of all, Happy Birthday, Koogie. I wish you many more to come

Lew, my wife teaches 3rd grade in an inclusion school and has had many
autistic students in her classes over the years. That's a truly noble thing
to work with them, hats off to you.

So, I guess it is my turn. I'm a 33 year old computer science guy (alot of
us share that I think). I work for a company that develops geospatial type
applications, mainly for the government. Processing of digital imagery from
satellites and such.

Shout out to Mac guys, we use them at work as well. Along with M$ stuff,
Linux, Solaris, etc. We wanna run our code everywhere possible.

Take care,
---scottie

Hey Raz,

About a dozen years ago, I was doing stand up comedy and found myself working one week in Kansas city with a comic named Chris fonseca, who had cerebral palsy. The club put us up in a condo, and chris had a wheelchair, a walker, and a shower bench with him.

I thought it was going to be a very difficult week for me being resposible for helping him, but it turned into one of the great weeks of my life. A really sweet guy, who was hard to understand until you fell into his talking rhythmn.

Once you did, it was like listening to a prophet - funny thoughtful, and not the least bit bitter.
Good luck with everything!
