I am so torn between Egyptian Smoke and Ice Blue for my JP6 rosewood. What do you guys think will compliment the rosewood headstock better? and any one who has seen both in person which do you prefer? And the biggest one, if anyone has any pictures of a JP in Ice Blue please post pics now!!!

Ice blue reminds me too much of Ice Blue Metallic from Fender. Egyptian Smoke does resemble Shoreline Gold a bit from Fender, but that colour is more rare.

ES it is for me.

you cant get a matching headstock, if I could Ice Blue would be the winner, I think with the natty rosewood is going to look better with ES, a blue body with a brown headstock, hmmmm.

Oh my mistake, thought ya meant rosewood board/maple neck. Still go Ice Blue.

I love Ice Blue -- especially on the stock photo of that Silhouette with the blue swirl pickguard. I think it would look fantastic with a vintage white PG on either a Silo or AL. For some unknown reason, I don't think it would look that great on a JP with nothing but the black PUs and knobs to contrast the color. If you were going for a Silo or AL, I'd say Ice Blue for sure -- 100%. With the JP, I'm inclined to say ES.

Doesn't that statement answer your question?
well I could be wrong.. thats why I need some input. Pearl Redburst just crossed my mind, was never a fan because it was so common, but everything goes back to the headstock, and I think it would look great...ahh this is so hard.

I disagree. I think that for example Luke Blue (which is the closest color to Ice Blue at the moment?) looks stunning on a Luke, and that has got black pups en knobs as well. I'd go for Ice blue, but that isn't a hard choice cause I don't like ES that much:rolleyes:

Ice Blue and an all rosewood neck/headstock doesn't really appeal to me. I would take Egyptian Smoke. Of all the colours, I think White, Pearl White, Olive Gold, and Pure Gold work the best with an all rosewood neck.

nah I'm sold on Pearl White, saw some better pics and think its perfect (thanks pete, great pics of the AL) I'll have polar opposites, Saphire Black SS, hardtail, maple neck, 22frets, and gonna put in a S-S-S pickgaurd, then Pearl White JP, H-H, Rosewood neck, 24 frets....sweet, plus I might white out the pickups and knobs one day and pay tribute to my other idol Buckethead.
