awwww man! 2nd set the piezo went out again just like last time! just thin, quiet shrill sound... changed battery, tried all things... gear works, not piezo.... awwwwww!!

gonna try to spray the volume pot with contact cleaner tomorrow; it worked the last time when even a full preamp and bridge change didn't solve it! its gotta be the humidity here and sweat getting in the pot.... or maybe just a bad pot.... bah!!

oh well. 3rd set here we go!

ok well i confirmed that it's a dirty pot.

so i open it up before every gig and spray the inside of the pot with contact cleaner, and turn the knob back and forth quickly. it'll start working, but will stop working as well.

is there anyway to permanently clean this thing? i reeeeeally don't wanna send it back again if possible. gotta gig!

Whoa- that's weird ... can you just replace the pot yourself? It's a minor job. Or get a local tech to do it- shouldn't cost you much.

i've found caig d5 deoxit to be far & away the best contact cleaner !!!!!!
the most common place to get it is radio shack. while it's super overpriced at radio shack......in a jam it's a life saver. (& dont use the gold unless you use the d5 first). some music stores stock the cans.......which are alot cheaper.....if ya got time to hunt some down.

I don't see how a dirty pot would cause the problem that was mentioned.

Chris...email me at [email protected] I remember your guitar. It has the dagger type thingy attached to one of the tuners, right?
