airport/carpool thread

I'm willing. Already offered fsmith,janice, tommy, pete and his bro...but i only have room for 4 plus luggage. I also could make a second run if need be.

I'm arriving at 11:50 on America West Flight # 6231 from Phoneix. I was just planning on taking the shuttle/cab from there, but if anyone wants to split one I'm up for that as well.

I'm flying into San Jose airport, arriving 11:10 am Friday, renting a car and driving down from there. Heading back up to that area Sunday mid-day to meet friends in Foster City.

Any one needs a lift to/from those locations in those time frames let me know.

My plans are still up in the air, but I'm hoping to fly to San Francisco on Wednesday, spend thursday in SF, and drive to SLO early friday morning (like 6am). If this happens, then I'm willing and can make multiple airport runs if nec.

I should know in two weeks or so. If I can't make this schedule happen then I don't know what I'll do.

What hotel are most of you guys staying at? I won't be getting to San Luis until 1 am Sat. morning so I ain't car pooling with anyone, ha!

Ernie, the Sands was running $108.90 per night with tax. I figured I might as well hang out where everybody else is and what the hell I'm probably not going to be able to do this again for a very long time.

The place looks decent http://www.sandssuites.com/ and by using Google Earth I was able to see where all of the hotels are with respect to one another.

The Sands says they have a shuttle service, but you need to take a cab (I guess there's only 2 in SLO) and then they reimburse you for the ride from the airport only. I asked when I booked my room. It never hurts to ask.

I'm driving From SLC, I have 2 seats in the back, I can pick someone up in vegas if they need.

Though after everything on saturday, I'll be headed to los angeles for Sunday...
