Well, I am finally able to type this without throwing out the "F" bomb. I flew to San Diego, had to check my "road" guitar at the plane door. Well, I arrive to San Diego and low and behold....neck snapped in half. Only held together by the strings!! Good thing it was only my OLP, but jeez, it was mine for Christ's sake Delta!! So, I have to wait for insurance and blah, blah, blah. By the way, this was the same OLP that was run over by....the airport people when I went to Connecticut! Oh well, she was played for all it was worth.

Now the good news. I went to the local GC and bought me a new road guitar. I picked up an Ibanez RG and amp for $400. So, Koogie gets to practice still.....take that Delta!! Now, I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I think there is a UPS shipment going to be made come time for me to leave! I will just forward my road axe to wherever I go! All I can say is......I am glad my Pets are sitting nice and snug in their cases at the house....and no OC, you cannot borrow the BD Pet....lol.....

Anywho, thanks for letting me vent here. Just make sure if you fly with your axe, get it insured and put in a hardshell travel case.....you will not be sorry that you did!

Sounds like that OLP was cursed to begin with; you're better off without it. :)

Sounds like some of these airlines have the American Tourister gorilla as a baggage handler. What a shame...
