I have my heart set on getting a Sil, but I'm starting to dig the looks of the AL. What body contours does the AL have?

I strapped one on once and thought that it was the most comfortable guitar I ever played. No joke!

Sorry for the hijack, but this question is slightly related.

Does the Steve Morse have any contouring whatsoever? I know that it doesn't have a tummy cut.

Shame they dont make them with 2 Axis humbuckers!

Tim you could get one with the MM90's and then get a new pickguard with just the 2 hb cutouts.

Might be kind of cool, if that's what your into.

That would be a cool Axe! Is the AL bathtub routed under the scratchplate?

Well if you get the 3 MM90's I would think that there would be enough room for an Axis HB, Jon or maybe TV can answer that one for you. Tom (TV) rewired one of his once if I remember correctly.

No body contours on either Morse model (the original, or the Y2D). Steve doesn't want them.

He gives his rationale in one of the video clips at the Y2D site .

They're definitely not bathtub routed, they're routed exactly for whatever pickup ends up in there. The MM90's fit *exactly* in there...some other P90's won't even fit.

Humbuckers are a slightly different size aren't they?
