Hello everyone,

I am the happy owner of an AL HH in Classic Red, with which I am totally in love. However, I am not too convinced about the neck pickup. It feels like it retains too much clarity when using it with distortion, like if I were stuck on the clean channel. Is this just the voicing of the pickup or should I get this checked? Thanks.

That just doesn't sound accurate to me based on my experience with them. Got any vids or clips we can evaluate?

Um are you sure it is not an output issue? A loss of output would be help with the loss of gail. But I would have to agree with Norrin on this, a video would help. On my Al HH I do not play on the neck pickup all that much on mine but when I do it complements the bridge very well.

Thanks a lot guys. Appreciated. I am afraid I don't own a decent camera, so not sure if I will be able to post any videos. I think the pickup output is fine, as there is no drop in volume when switching from the bridge to the neck pickup. I have only played her through my little Blackstar HT-1, so maybe worth playing her through other amps to make sure it is not my one-watter the one with an issue. I will give a go and let you know how it goes. Thanks!!
