Very smooth playing, great tone. Yes, the AL MM90 is just so versatile.
Ha, looks like fun for everyone!

Thank you RJ/mtrejo.....my kids are always in and out whenever I play. Wasn't long after that they started tossing pillows at their dad. Actually that would have been a more entertaining video come to think about it...LOL!

Sounds great, killer picking. My kids are the biggest inhibitor of my music advancement. I get the same treatment every time I try to practice.

Thanks I really appreciate it......BUT

I took the guitar back and got a roasted Black Sugar AL SSS instead. It was a hard decision because the MM90 played and felt so good. It is always difficult to buy a guitar without playing it first, but in this case I made the right choice. I originally bought the rosewood AL at GC in Pensacola and had the chance to try it out first. I ordered the Roasted from Music123 Wednesday. I was really struggling with returning the MM90 but the Roasted kept calling my name I guess. It arrived yesterday and almost immediately I knew I made the right choice.

I absolutely love the shape of EBMM necks but I am one of the few apparently that prefer a gloss finish. So when I first saw the roasted "Black Sugar" models awhile back I wished I could own one. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago when I went into GC. I played a rosewood AL and really liked it.....so I bought it. Shortly after however I saw the "roasted" AL at Music123. Someone had apparently returned it and was priced a few hundred less than the rosewood model I had just bought. I took the chance and returned the MM90 and ordered the roasted.

The guitar is perfect. The neck is like nothing I've owned before. I really like the slick feel of the ebony fingerboard, and the guitar looks as if no one ever played it. I will certainly miss the rosewood MM90 no doubt......but the roasted has something a little magical going on. Being a hard tail it is lighter than the rosewood trem so the overall feel is slightly more comfortable for me. Tone wise they both are stellar and certainly a toss up. Wish I could keep them both, but since I cannot, I am completely satisfied with the "Black Sugar"!

Pics to follow!

Hey, great video! I hadn't realized that it was your channel I had been watching of you playing your older AL's. If you don't mind or if you have the time I'd love to hear the MM90 Rosewood with a little "dirt", it's hard to find any sound clips of this guitar with overdrive or distortion but I would love to hear how it breaks up. Thanks, keep up the great playing!

I returned the Rosewood AL and will have to avoid the local shop until it sells for fear I'll buy it back and find myself in marriage counseling. I now have a "Black Sugar" AL model. My setup has changed too since those earlier videos you mentioned. I don't have a dirt pedal other than a Pork Loin which is pretty low gain. I appreciate you watching and hope to post a video of the roasted AL this weekend.
