Who ever it is ought to be shot for taking that neck off of the matching body. I would have paid good money for the complete guitar... Suspicion abounds around that auction.

why are there so many holes drilled in?
What are the two holes, I marked with red arrows, for? are they normal or does the owner mount the neck on some other git?

^^^ just a guess here, but those could be reference holes for the machining process. Perhaps the same for the large hole in the center, and that little "x" too, perhaps?

I found this auction to be quite weird myself. I asked the guy where the rest of the guitar was, and here was his reply:

"Owner kept the body, he was not comfortable with the position of this neck and simply switched it with another."

"the position of this neck"????? Odd, indeed.

Yup, I think they're supposed to be there. Here's a pic of the neck from my '91 Morse- you can also see extra holes:
