Hi, i bought my first AL sss a few days ago and wondering if i can swap the bridge singlecoil to a Seymour Duncan jb jr?Are the wiring the same? Does it work with the silent circuit?

Sure, you can swap anything you like in there

In terms of wiring, it depends if you're planning to split it or not. If not, it doesn't need to be wired to the silent circuit. Just wire it to ground, connect the coils, and hot to the switch.

Should be clear cut, I am in the process of adding a JB hot rail to the bridge of my SSS, the pickup should come with wiring instructions

Replaced mine with a Seymour Duncan ssl5 (Gilmour pickup). It is not a humbucker but handles gain very nicely! I really dig it! Swap was a breeze.

I have a ssl1 x2 and ssl5 in a guitar and must admit that ssl5 can handle some gain in a very nice way.
