Wilde by Bill Lawrence are the real ones.
Yep. And to the point, I have the Wilde Microcoils in one AL (about to be replaced by the new Alnico Microcoils) and a set of Wilde L200s in another. They sound great, all different flavours of stratty.

Honestly, there's only one pickup maker I have heard more negative than positive things about. Lots of great makers doing cool things while giving great customer service.

Exactly.

On the noiseless front, the Dimarzio Areas are a great solution, but I actually gigged for awhile using a Lace Sensor Rainbow set.

The guys over at TDPRI know their single coils, and the Wildes come up a lot.

The Surfers have a big, full-bodied '60s thing I'm digging right now, really some special mojo in there, and my AL is the best sounding Strat I have right now. Just did a series of gigs where they sounded great with compliments from the sound guys "What kind of geetar is that?".
