Big Al has released a new CD titled "Like This" that is really really a must have for any Albert Lee afficionado. It is a rockin Boogie record with some of the best Big Al singing and guitar playing in years. It is the essence of Albert. Producer/keyboardist Elio Pace captured Albert like few have. Its available on Amazon.com and worth the import price.

As you know Big is my all time favorite guitarist.....and most of the stuff he has made in England has left me a little disappointed but this ones hits it out of the park.

Also the official Albert Lee Biography is out and quite thorough except for me....he he.
It is really good though. The writer tried to get me when I was on the road and I called him back and he never called again. I think there was a lot more to Albert and my history but what the hell. He relied on website stuff for me and a few things. He did get a quote from Brian but only as it pertained to Alberts Involvement with the Silouette. It is also available on amazon too

Support Big Al and make your ears happy.......

Just ordered it!!

Elio is such a different keyboard player to AL's last one in HH.

He is a brilliant musician and now it seems a great producer.

Had a fantastic chat with Elio after a gig and once again a real gentleman.

Albert Lee Alert!

Be sure to pick the new CD and the bio sounds really like a good read...

Maybe you should do a book about the yourself and the Guitarist that play you instrument.

Great CD, best for a while.

BP, is that a one-off blue BFR on the CD notes?

After my first AL gig this week I bought "Like This!" and can just confirm that it´s a real rocking CD that offers really more than country tunes. Great somgs and great guitar playing. I´m not a very expert about the other AL HH CD´s but will now start listen to them. Thanks for pointing me in this direction

featuring Huey Lewis guesting on harmonica as well

I have a bootleg somewhere with a Thin Lizzy demo of Black Rose where Huey Lewis plays harmonica. You can also find it on YouTube :

not to hijack the thread but Huey opened up for Thin Lizzy and even covered one of Phil Lynotts songs on the Picture This album. Huey is a friend of Sterlings I believe and I first heard of Ernie Ball strings because of an article in a 1984 Guitar Player featuring Chris Hayes from Huey's band. A side note Chris and I occasionally email each other and I'm trying to talk him into getting a Music Man. An Albert Lee would be perfect for him ;)
