G.

cool man, so you will be there? maybe some of the other forum members in the area will be there as well and we can have a little meet and greet of our own!!! i am planning on making the trip...it should be a nice ride and i have never been to Canada, so i think it will be fun....when it gets a little closer, we will have to make some plans!!

is this something i need to get advanced tickets for, or can i show up the day of and be ok??? that is the only thing that worries me...it is long way to drive to find out it is sold out!!!

oh and yes, i will be bringing the Dargie!!!:D:) and i will have a EB shirt on...maybe i'll wear my Red Wings hat...that will make me stick out!!!!

Guys and girls, consider this a serious heads-up: I've met a ton of famous musicians in my career, and Albert Lee still stands-out as one of the most genuinely talented, humble and personable wonderful humans I've met! Checking out his clinic is not even an option, it's a MUST. When we had him last year, I watched as pretty much every serious guitarist north of Toronto walked into the auditorium (the thought crossed my mind that a couple of hand grenades would sure cut down on the competition around here...kidding!).
Put these on your calendar NOW. Attendance is NOT OPTIONAL.-Eric
P.S. Anyone know where you get those gold markers? Or the gold pens like PRS uses for their serial numbers? I need Albert to sign the backplate of my Albert Limited (matching the one on my Silo Special). Black with gold jewellery needs a gold marker...

Hey Eric
Get Albert to sign the back of the headstock like this, but before you do:
Clean the area with some lighter fluid to remove any wax residue
Lightly go over the area with 1600/2000 wet and dry followed by some T cut.

You could then spray over with some clearcoat.

Oh and thanks for telling me about your knobs !!!

L&M doesn't have any info on their site yet. I'm heading in sometime this week so I'll ask around when I'm up there.

Hey Brent,

EB/MM artists don't charge for clinics -- we make it a requirement. Just call to make sure that they'll have room for you once you arrive.

Agree with Lance Romance about AL. There's a peacefulness about him that just sort of radiates.

What a great opportunity for forum members to hang out and maybe grab some grub and a cold one...or even jam at someone's place that lives nearby!

Some of you are asking what goes on during a Guitar clinic so I will give you the best answers I can given the fact I have done quite a few of them now.

They will each vary a little depending on the Artist but generally follow this guidline.

Normally run an 1hr to 2 hrs

The Artist usually brings along backing tracks to play along too. Showcasing their specific playing style and techniques.

The artist will give a history on themselves/playing styles/tunes etc.

There are chances for the audience to ask the Artist specific questions on playing techniques/gear used/tunes/stories etc...

the Artist will play a certain number of tracks (varies from Artist to Artist some play a lot some not as much focusing more on the questions being asked).

After the session I usually do a little trivia question and answer period with the audience for some Ernieball prize giveaways and then the Artist will do an autograph signing session and one on one meet and greet.

Everybody leaves extremely happy and contemplates that next Musicman guitar or Bass they are going to buy ;) !!

Hopefully that gives you an idea.

Glensterr

i sent you a pm Glen...had a couple quick questions...thanks
