Heres a quote from Alberts web site:

"SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (July 12, 2004) - Christies Auction House recently auctioned off an Albert Lee Music Man Signature guitar, provided & used exclusively by Albert Lee, for nearly $12,000. (The auction house originally estimated it to bring in $1,000 to $2,000.) The proceeds went to Eric Clapton's Crossroads Centre, a treatment facility for those with chemical dependencies. The June 24 auction was held at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

According to Albert, that particular Music Man Signature guitar had been his main stage instrument for six years. He played it live with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings starting in 1997, with his band Hogan's Heroes, and on stage with Eric Clapton in August 2002, along with other live performances including the concert for George (Harrison) in November 2002, and in the recording studio as well.

Eric Clapton founded the Crossroads Centre in 1997 to treat and educate those with drug, alcohol and other addictive disorders. It is located on Antigua in the Caribbean Islands."

Nice one Albert !

I remember that auction. Yah it was one of the trans pink/red if memory serves me correct. I was the same auction that Clapton sold the original "Blackie". All to help fund his treatmenbt facility in Antigue. Ablert is a a great friend if I remember correctly and has play on quite a few Clapton tracks.
