Hi everyone,
I'm new here from Cumbria, england! I just bought a 2007 musicman albert lee in tobacco burst identical to the one on my profile picture! I took this pic from a thread on this site and uploaded it to my profile coz I don't know how to upload a pic in this post,I've tried for ages :-(
My issue is that my guitar has white pickup covers and knobs and switch tip.I Contacted musicman and they said they should all be black, like the picture on my profile .Can anyone help me get the parts to make my guitar original again? The parts are not listed on the EB website and I've contacted strings and things and they said I'd need to order them from the EB site.Im stuck, anyone help please?
Thanks
Mike

PDN are limited batches of guitars, with "unique" features, that you can order during a very short time!
(Usually a one month ordering window.)

The specificities change every year and should, in theory, never be offered again! That's why, we usually write the date next to the PDN : it's therefore easier to identify the yearly specificities.

Looking at the Albert Lee guitar at Albert Lee, the Ernie Ball "Telecaster knobs" that I linked you to ARE INDEED the replacement knob for this guitar. Zero doubt about it.

And the switch tip and pickup covers I linked you to will work on this guitar.

Or, if you don't believe me, you can call Customer Service.

Regards,
Jeff

No, your Albert Lee appears to be a standard model in vintage sunburst. The PDNs to this point have been the HoneyRoasted (roasted neck with pao ferro board) Neptune blue, emerald green sparkle, Cardinal red sparkle, and the vintage burst that was just released. It's a yellow/black sunburst with a tinted maple neck.

Ps. Dibart (Jeff) has more of these guitars than any reasonable person needs... I'd trust him on the parts recommendation.

I thankyou for your reply,my guitar knobs are not telecaster knobs but similar to fender strat,I have another albert lee with same configuration and the knobs are not telecaster!Regarding the parts I will only use original musicman parts, not copies. The albert lee guitar in the link has got tele knobs but mine is a sss 2007 not the P90 version

Mike-

Since you're not getting a satisfactory answer from your distributor, I would call or email EBMM customer service and let them help you out. The link is in my signature.

I think the AL with piezo has tele style knobs (3 pots) - like picured on Albert Lee
the non-piezo with just Volume/Tone has strat style knobs
isn´t it the same with the silo Specials?

Yep. I was wrong. Looked at one AL on the site, but didn't notice they were different. Oops.
