Hi Mike.
It's always good to see another UK MM owner - especially another Albert Lee owner.
seems like you have had a few different replies.
Here's my 2 penny worth!
Europe has distributors set up, and the UK have Strings n Things in Shoreham on Sea.
If an individual has a problem with their guitar they would approach the dealer first (shop) and then this might need escalating to Strings N Things.
In your case you are talking about replacement of standard parts, - now you can't just order certain parts, for example bridges, necks, pick ups - you send your items back to EB and they replace them - and charge accordingly depending on whether the guitar is in or out of the warranty period.
In your case the replacement of Knobs, Pick up covers, trem knobs - you can purchase these without sending your old ones in.
The knobs, well apart from the special edition HH ones the rule was - the 3 knob Albert means that it has a piezo and they came with the metal knurled tele type knobs.
The 2 knob version means that it is a non piezo Albert and these use standard Fender plastic knobs - it's not like the old MM amps, whose knobs went from Zero to 10, the knobs are standard Fender.
The pickup covers are also stock Fender items.
So you can :-
1) buy stock Fender parts - no one will ever know that they are not MM parts
2) E mail Strings n things who should be able to supply them
30 e mail customer support in the USA as beej has stated. If it were me - I'd e mail S & T.
Take a look at the links in my sig and you can look at my Alberts - what knobs they have.
However - I did make solid gold ones for my 2006 Albert !!! lol
