Wow! Well I enjoyed that quite a bit. Man, the AL sounds like a BEAST. looks like your are wielding its power nicely.

How had the transition from your Axis to the AL been and is it filling the void you expected?

Nice job Tim!

The solo you played at the end sounded very good, Tim. The Al sounded powerful.

I get that the drummer is out front since he's singing, but I'm not so sure I like it. The bass player must feel like he's playing in a closet behind a big pile of boxes or whatever. It just made the stage seem cluttered to me. Maybe a drum riser placed in the traditional location for a drummer would be better?

I agree with Tollie. I once played in a band where the drummer was the lead singer - he stayed in the background and it worked fine.
After all, the front of stage is "reserved" for guitarists after all!! ;)

Well its not so much a transition, more a sideway step! I will still continue to play the Axis guitars, I am just enjoying a new axe to the stable!

Its much like I expected - a bit like the Axis but a bit warmer and richer. I am really enjoying its ergonomic shape and even the split coil positions on the 5 way!

I tend to agree, but the drummer likes it up front! We play in some tiny places (this venue, for example) and even if we had a riser it would not be practical to use it.

The bass player actually gets a good mix because they are electric drums and he can hear the monitor where he is.
