What does everyone think about the Albert Lee with Humbuckers instead of single coils? I've managed to get some serious spank out of those humbuckers when I played them today. Plus, they look awesome...:)

Been a JP player for a while (Play mostly metal, hard rock, hair, etc...) and went over to a luke for a different flavor early this year and just today someone put an AL HH in my hands and I put money down on it then and there. Monster of a guitar, love it!

I really dig the spacey futuristic A.L. body shape. I think it's cool to have the HH in addition to the triple single coils, ala Strat. As a lover of all things P-90, I was over the moon when I first set my eyes and later my hands on a MM90 Albert Lee mode in Trans Blue. I really flipped for it and needed to locate one to play. I thought my Gibson Historic SG Special with a pair of P-90's were awesome (and it is), but the MM90 with it's EB in-house wound triple P-90's completely blew me away! This guitar really is a powerhouse of tone! I succumbed to it's awesomeness and bought it... I'll post up a NGD thread for it with pics.

I love my HHAL. It's kind of making me rethink my need for Single coils especially since it fits the gap where the HH Axis Sport leaves off. If we ever see a BFR version with a maple top I'm in big trouble.

I could never get past the odd look & design of the AL models...didn't interest me in the least...until I saw this one!
Something about this color combo completely changed my mind. Then I played it!! Then I had to have it!!!
GC special in trans walnut finish, with coil taps.
Absolutely one of my favorite guitars...ever...

That sounds really nice! Something like that could force me to open the wallet or make me get rid of one my ever-growing lonely in their cases Custom Shop Strats...

Like many others the ALHH is my main guitar, it really just doesn't get much better! ;)

Ceno, I see in your sig list you have an Silooutte Special HSS. I'm considering one of these I found locally ahead of locating a HHAL. I presume you may have acquired your Silo Special HSS before your HHAL, and was curious if you find enough variables to justify having both if you had to consider the Silo Special HSS again knowing now what you know about you HHAL?

xjbebop - do you still have this one? I have the exact same guitar coming in tomorrow (UPS willing :)). To say I'm stoked would be an understatement. NGD post forthcoming with pics.
