Ok so it's not really a thing, but I thought maybe it should be :cool:

Found the various parts (pickups, PCB, Silent Circuit) second-hand, and wired them up in my original '94 Pinkburst. I had previously routed the back for a battery compartment (and updated various bits), so I didn't have to hide the battery.

I will say this- those magnets are crazy strong! When I got the pickups, the magnets had all bunched together. Keeping them in place while working on them was a bit of a dance. I hot glued them in place when I was done, but I don't think that'll do much if they come near each other again.

I've only had a few hours with it but I'll be taking it out to play tonight. So far it sounds great.
